Gonzalez started the 2019 season in Single A with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes as a starter. By the end of the season he was in consideration to be called up to the Dodgers as a reliever. His excellent 2019 led the Dodgers to add him to their 40-man roster in the off-season. Basically, he came from nowhere to the Majors in about 18 months. Ryan Falla at Dodgers Nation had some detailed coverage of Victor a few weeks ago.
