Dodgers Prospects: April Awards For Ryan Pepiot and Damon Keith

More prospects in the Dodgers’ farm are winning awards. Last week it was Kyle Hurt winning the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week, now we have both Ryan Pepiot and Damon Keith bringing home some hardware. Pepiot, at Triple-A OKC, was named the Pitcher of the Month for the Pacific Coast League (PCL – yes, OKC is in the PCL). Keith, from the Single-A Quakes, was named the California League Player of the Month.

Ryan Pepiot

Oklahoma City Dodgers right-hander Ryan Pepiot went 2-0 with a 1.66 ERA in five starts. MLB Pipeline’s No. 100 overall prospect allowed 14 hits and struck out 29 over 21 2/3 innings and held opponents to a .182 batting average. – MiLB.com.

Pepiot told me “I am grateful for the recognition and excited for what this season has in store. We’ve been bringing you content about Pepiot almost from the beginning of this site starting with an interview during the pandemic.

Damon Keith

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Dodgers) outfielder Damon Keith led the league in on-base percentage (.519), slugging percentage (.672) and OPS (1.191) and was second in average (.391), hits (25) and runs (19). He finished third in triples (two) and fourth in total bases (43). – MiLB.com

Keith told me he wants to “just (stay) focused on the day by day and showing up, being the best I can be for my team!” Just recently I wrote about Keith as being one of the hottest hitters in the system so far.

Final Thoughts

We’ll continue to write about the prospects that are excelling on both this site and at Dodgers Nation. Live coverage at the Quakes games will happen on a bi-weekly basis where most of the work is on display on our Instagram and YouTube sites. We appreciate your continued support.
