Dodgers Prospects: Justin Bruihl Gets Promotion To Triple-A

Source – his dad

On the heels of Jacob Cantleberry getting promoted to High-A, it was announced by his dad that Justin Bruihl is getting promoted to Triple-A.

We interviewed Bruihl almost a year ago. He wasn’t even drafted by the Dodgers but they signed him as a free agent in 2018. In 2021 with Tulsa Bruihl put up some eye-opening numbers: 15 innings, 7 hits, 3 walks, and 20 strikeouts. The Dodgers are have had some trouble with keeping their left-handed relievers healthy as only Victor Gonzalez has stayed healthy. David Price missed about a month. Now both Garrett Cleavinger and Scott Alexander are out for quite a while. Another left-handed reliever that has been impressive in Triple-A is Darien Nunez. There are a lot of good left-handed relievers in the system and now is the time that some will step up. It would not surprise me to see both Bruihl and Nunez get a chance with the Dodgers this season.

Congratulations, Justin Bruihl.
