Dodgers Prospects: Sheldon Neuse Up, Alex Vesia Down

The Dodgers have made a couple of moves today. Infielder Sheldon Neuse was called up today, April 18th, to start at second base against the Padres and Blake Snell. The corresponding move was to put infielder Gavin Lux on the Injured List (IL). At the same time, they have also activated right-handed reliever Brusdar Graterol from the IL and sent down left-handed reliever Alex Vesia.

With the call-up of Neuse, expect him to get some starts at second base against left-handed starters and maybe help give Justin Turner a break at third base. If you recall, Neuse was acquired from the A’s in February.

We know that Vesia was just recalled yesterday, but it looks like it was to have an extra lefty in the bullpen with David Price not available. My guess is that Price could be available today and now Brusdar is ready to get back to his easy 100 MPH heat.

Go Dodgers.
