J.P. Hoornstra: Alex Vesia To Get Called Up Today

He’s a native San Diegan

J.P. Hoornstra is reporting that Alex Vesia is being called up today. As you know the Dodgers’ (and Padres’) bullpens were heavily taxed last night in the big 11-6 12-inning win.

There are two questions I have.

  1. Why is it not Brusdar Graterol? I thought he was almost ready.
  2. Who gets sent down or put onto the injured list?

However, congratulations to Vesia. He’s a native San Diegan who could make his Dodger debut in San Diego. The Dodgers acquired him from the Marlins in February.

We’ll keep you posted as the news trickles in.
