A productive time at Spring Training

I just got back from my trip to Arizona to see some friends and the Dodgers. I have not been able to acquire a media pass but I did have some great seats on Friday night. You can see some of the non-prospect pictures of them on my @sddodger Instagram Account.

The first picture I captured pre-game as some of the future stars for the Dodgers headed over to the dugout. This also meant that Jacob Amaya, James Outman, and Jake Vogel would probably be making an appearance in the game. For Vogel, it was his first appearance in a Major League Spring Training game.

The Pitchers

Bobby Miller, Josiah Gray, and Nick Robertson are three of the most intriguing pitching prospects the Dodgers have. It was great that they all appeared in the game following Clayton Kershaw.

Position Players

James Outman was a player I did an interview with over email in 2018. He also has two doubles in his last two games and is getting a great opportunity to show his talent. Jacob Amaya has been able to get some late-inning appearances in a few games. I expect him to get a chance at Triple-A this season.

Final Thoughts

I have a lot more pictures that I will publish when I can. A preview of some of those players was published a few days ago. It takes a while to go through them. Also, for any players that I’ve taken photos of, please let me know if you want any of the pictures. They are yours.

I will be writing an article for Dodgers Nation this week that will look at the prospects who made a good impression in Spring Training. With Spring Training almost over and little to no access to the Alternate Site (where the Minor Leaguers are practicing) will have less actual news to report. We will keep an ear to the ground for any news that comes out as the Minor League season does not start until May.
